Lychee is a versatile fruit that is easy to cook with. They are also antioxidant fruits that have great health benefits. When serving the main meal dishes, lychees can be used as a puree or to make a glaze. To make a puree, you will need a can of lychees drained. The can of lychees can be drained from the syrup and processed in a blender until it is smooth. This creates a puree that can be served over meats or any part of your main meal course.  Lychee fruit gravy for pork chops or chicken can be made and served in 30 minutes or less. After cooking pork chops for 3 or 4 minutes on each side, add balsamic vinegar to the sauces left in the pan along with lychees and cinnamon to create a glaze.

If fish is your main dish, lychee sauce can be made to eat as a glaze. The sauce calls for 10 ounces of lychee jam, 4 tablespoons of lychee or rice wine vinegar, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and 3 pieces of chopped ginger. Cashew nuts can be added but are optional. All of the ingredients need to be heated together using one tablespoon of cornstarch to thicken them. After heating the ingredients, pour it over the fish. The cashew nuts can be sprinkled on the top lightly. This provides a better taste and look. The lychee fruit can also be served as a dessert to your main course meal.
