Fruit Product Manufacturer: Musselman’s

by admin on January 24, 2011

Fruit Product Manufacturer: Musselman'sMusselman’s is a brand associated with quality apple sauces and apple juices. The company began in 1907 by John S. Musselman, Sr. and his two sons. Later on, Knouse Foods Cooperative, a local fruit grower coop, purchased it from the remaining Musselmans but kept its brand name since the processing and quality of foods the company provides remain at its highest level.

Its main produce are apples due to its high nutritional value. Apples have boron, an element that helps strengthen bones and pectin which removes cholesterol in the bloodstream.

From the seasonal apples come the bestselling classic Musselman’s Apple Cider, Musselman’s Apple Juice and Musselman’s Apple Sauce. The company also offers other healthy alternatives like with sauces made from organic apples, a Lite apple sauce with Splenda No-Calorie sweetener and its famous apple butter. All of these products do not contain artificial coloring or sweeteners. There’s no fructose, only pure Vitamin C and calcium.

There are also other products apples can provide. Under Musselman’s Specialty Products line are the Musselman’s Vinegars, Musselman’s Pie Fillings, Cherries Jubilee Dessert Topping, Red Tart Pitted Cherries in Water and Sliced Apples in Can.

Brenda – I would contact Musselman’s and ask them. I would have no way of knowing. Here’s a link to their website –

I too love the Musselman’s sliced apples in a can. I moved from the Midwest to Oregon and I can’t find them here. This is frustrating, because I haven’t found anything comparable and it’s Thanksgiving. I hate to use the filling types. Where can I buy them????

I’m not sure – you will want to contact Musselman’s and see where their distributor is in your area and see if it is carried up there.
