Amazing Meal Original Blend

While doing the review for the ORAC Amazing Grass, I discovered that Amazing Grass also had a product called “Amazing Meal” and I wanted to try it!

So Amazing Grass was kind enough to send us 4 packets – one of each flavor/variety they make of their Amazing Meal. YUM.

Brothers-All-Natural Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Pineapple Crisps

Let me just say that I didn’t product test these.  I am NOT a fan of pineapple in any form, so there was no use in me product testing it.

So, I had a 31-year old male try them out as well as an 8-year old and an 11-year old.  All three of them loved them.

Gotta love that there’s:

• no preservatives
• no added sugar
• no colorings
• no flavor enhancers

in these crisps snacks.

Bai5 Costa Rica Clementine - Antioxidant Energy Drink

Bai is a newer antioxidant energy drink on the market, we have reviewed several of their flavors. The last one up is their Bai Costa Rica Clementine, which belongs to their Bai5 line,  meaning that it only has 5 calories per serving.

The ingredients include: filtered water, erythritol, orange juice concentrate, natural flavors, citric acid, saffron and purple carrot juice.

What does “Bai” Mean?!

Brothers-ALL-Natural Strawberry Crisps

Among other flavors, we received these Brothers-ALL-Natural Strawberry Crisps to product review many months ago – but I have tried to split them up, so that all the reviews didn’t come at the same time.

I love these strawberry freeze dried fruit snacks!  These are awesome. I’m always game for all natural snacks because it’s a struggle sometimes to find healthy snacks for you and for your family.

I wish that vending machines would catch on to these Brothers freeze dried fruit snacks.

I love these because they can be stored outside of the fridge and they are easy to grab when you’re in a hurry, or if you are looking to have a snack that is easy to store in your car – or one that is ideal for road trips, this is it.

Vitamix 5200 Blender

When a Vegan friend of mine, Jennifer Hunt of Naked Kindness and Jennifer Hunt Designs, told me that she got a Vitamix for her birthday recently, my reply was something along the lines of “So What?!”

Little did I know, as she educated me, Vitamix is the best blender ever. She ranted and raved to me about it in text messages, sending me photos and what not.

Since I enjoy making smoothies, I thought I would request a product sample for review. After many requests, Vitamix was kind enough to oblige and send me a Vitamix 5200 Standard to product review. I am so thankful they did.

I LOVE THIS THING.

…or should I say, I love Superman.  That’s what I call it.  It is Superman.

I first made my traditional chocolate protein smoothie in the mornings, and it performed beautifully. Then I made a delicious Pumpkin Smoothie…and the Vitamix, as usual delivered…delicious smooooooothness.

I love that it has a tamper, so that you can push the vegetables down into the blades without having to do it with a spatula and turn the machine on and off while doing it.  In fact, with other blenders, I have been lazy and not turned off the blender and then end up blending the spatula!  So it is awesome that the Vitamix comes with a tamper that fits just perfectly for that machine, so that you don’t blend another spoon or spatula!

The only downside of the Vitamix is that it is not recommended that you put it in the dishwasher (I did run it through the dishwasher one time (not the base, but the cannister, lid, etc. and it still works like a charm)). I am a big fan of dishwasher safe items, but as it turns out, the cleaning process of the Vitamix is pretty darn simple. I did a video to show you how easy it is:

Bai5 Sumatra Dragonfruit - Antioxidant Energy Drink

I have featured Bai Drinks on the website before, but not the Sumatra Dragonfruit flavor.

This flavor, in particular, is one of Bai’s 5 calorie per serving drinks, so therefore is in their Bai5 line.

Ironically, I do not think there is any dragonfruit in their Sumatra Dragonfruit.

Bai’s base is the coffee fruit, grown in Indonesia, according to Bai, one gram of the coffee superfruit extract has the antioxidant power of 4,000 ORAC units.  This is why it is an antioxidant fruit drink.

The word “Bai” means “pure” and Bai’s philosophy is  pure energy, pure taste and pure goodness.

If you don’t like the taste of Nutrasweet, then I would suggest avoiding the Bai5 flavors as they reminded me of Nutrasweet, but I do love the ones that have more calories (of course, I do).  For me, Stevia tastes like Nutrasweet, although a totally different product.
