In 2001, Teresa’s Fruit and Herb Farm began to become one of the organic fruit farms in Eureka, Illinois, USA. On 3 acres, the farm began to produce over 30 kinds of fruit and herbs. Among the fruit, the Viking Aronia plants were the most productive that on 2006, Teresa’s Fruit and Herb Farm added 1200 aronia plants and the farm became Sunny Lane Aronia.

You pick aronia berries is also offered by Sunny Lane Aronia. This is due to its bountiful harvest during late July and August. The farm welcomes your help on picking the berries but instead of you paying them for the U-pick activity, Sunny Lane Aronia will pay $0.50 per pound you pick to your submitted charity, club or organization.

You can find MacQueen Orchards at 7605 Garden Road (Gunn Road & Garden Road), Holland, Ohio, USA. This is a place where you can join its annual Apple Butter Stir Festival and experience arts and crafts shows, apple pie contest, lots of live entertainment and activities for the whole family.

This fruit picking farm lets you pick your own apples during the festival and from September 20th to 3rd week of October. You can choose from apple varieties like Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Ida Red, Granny Smith and Jonathan.

Pick your own fruit farms that has the fruit pawpaw in its selection are not common. Located at 1608 Russell Road, Berryville, Virginia, USA, the Mackintosh Fruit Farm is one of those.

The pawpaw belongs to the custard apple family and is a cousin of the soursop. WIth 75% water content, it is rich in vitamins, minerals, amino acids and calories.

The Mackintosh Fruit Farm also has apples, nectarines and peaches. The apples come in 6 varieties: Fuji, York, Golden Delicious, Honey Crisp, Gala and Ginger Gold. As for the peaches, there are three varieties of white peaches, donut peaches and yellow peaches. All of them are available for U-pick.

Families can look forward to the annual peach festival on August 6th and other activities hosted by the Mackintosh Fruit Farm like farm dinners and cooking classes.

In 2006, George and Shelly Ibach began the Black Squirrel Vineyard. On their 300 acre fruit farm in Wisconsin known as Triple Coulee Farm, the Ibachs cultivated a vineyard that’s best for the cold climate to yield red wine grapes.

These variety of vines are the Marquette Grapes. This particular variety was developed by the University of Minnesota. The Marquette proves to have good resistance against black rot, downy mildew and powdery mildew. It has an average juice pH value of 3.00 and has high sugar content and acid level, making it manageable for winemakers to use.

The Ibachs planted 386 vines in 2007. More vines were added to the initial grapevines and for 2009, there were 1409 Marquette vines on the Black Squirrel Vineyard.

The vineyard is located a short distance away from Elmwood, Wisconsin, USA. Living in the coulees and woods on the farm, you can probably spot black squirrels nearby. This inspired the name of the vineyard.

Sweetberry Farm is located at 1801 FM 1980 Marble Falls, Texas, USA. This fruit farm offers a variety of activities for the whole family to enjoy.
